The STIHL Manufacturing Technology Summer Camp (MTSC). Through the camp, the company helps foster the future of manufacturing and gives high school students hands-on experience in technology-based projects. The camp promotes careers in modern manufacturing and educates young people on both skilled trades and degreed career paths in manufacturing.
This year, the theme was “FANatics for Innovation,” so teams of participating students will design and build two different types of fans using STIHL components. Over the four days of camp (July 24-27), they will also learn the importance of process planning, budgeting, and product quality, as well as, the significance of hard work and collaboration. The experience will foster teamwork in a competitive manufacturing environment.
