Manufacturing Technician Level 1 Occupations

The core work standards certified are: (1) Math and Measurement, (2) Spatial Reasoning and Manufacturing Technology, and (3) Business Acumen and Quality.

The MT1 Certification supports the following Manufacturing occupations:

  • Operator
  • Production Operator
  • Production Technician
  • Technician
  • Chemical Equipment Operator
  • Chemical Operator
  • Fixers
  • CNC Technician Manufacturing Technician
  • Production Manufacturing Specialist

A MT1 operates precision machinery, systems and processes. The Manufacturing Skills Institute awards certificates to individuals who pass any one its three (3) certificate modules (“Production Modules”: Math and Measurement; Spatial Reasoning and Manufacturing Technology; and, Business Acumen and Quality) and a full MT1 Certification to those who pass all three (3) Production Modules.  MS Certification is awarded to those that pass Math and Measurement, and Spatial Reasoning and Manufacturing Technology only.
