Austin McQuade is thrilled to be working just a few short weeks following his graduation from WWRC’s Manufacturing Technology Training (MTT) Program.

(Hear an exciting interview with Austin on the VR Workforce Studio Podcast).

He applied to three different companies, and had two solid job offers within a week once they reviewed his application and saw that he had the coveted Manufacturing Technician Level One (MT1) credential from the Manufacturing Skills Institute. He accepted the job at CDA-USA and travels as a field technician servicing and repairing “labeling and filling” machines. His position is full time with benefits. Austin received his Career Readiness Certificate, OSHA 10 Safety credential, Forklift Training, the Manufacturing Specialist and MT1, in his MTT program. WWRC’s first cohort of seven consumers graduated in December. Three of the seven are currently employed in manufacturing jobs, while three others are in the application process. One consumer’s life circumstances changed and she is not seeking employment. NOW is the time to make referrals for upcoming cohorts. WWRC will also hold one-week “Dream It. Do It.” Academies to introduce consumers to the world of modern manufacturing.
