The Skills Certification System was established by The Manufacturing Institute (MI), an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), to contribute to the development of the nation’s science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)-capable workforce for advanced manufacturing by recognizing world-class, industry-endorsed credentials.
The AMB is a program of the Manufacturing Skills Institute. Through a combination of lab exercises, demonstrations, and small-group instruction, participants will obtain the skills needed for success in most manufacturing entry-level positions and achieve a foundation for more advanced skills building.
Several facilities in the Halifax County town will be a part of the Manufacturing Skills Institute (MSI), an initiative sponsored by the Virginia Manufacturers Association and ECPI University.
