Several of Virginia’s Community Colleges have earned high marks in the 2019 ranking by Military Friendly, an annual survey conducted by Pittsburgh, Pa.-based VIQTORY, which describes itself as a military marketing company that connects the military community to civilian opportunity.
Piedmont Virginia Community College was named the number one small community college for veterans. PVCC has fared well in this national ranking for several years, frequently making the overall top 10.
“As a Navy veteran and PVCC alumna, I can truly say that it is a team effort that involves commitment from our dedicated administrators, faculty, staff and community partners,” said Jacquelyn Fisher, Military and Veterans Advisor at PVCC.

Now in its 10th year, the Military Friendly Schools list seeks to provide a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families using data sources from federal agencies and proprietary survey information from participating organizations. The 2019-2020 Military Friendly Schools list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine.
